Crystal Tears - Generation X

The new album: The new CRYSTAL TEARS album is a cleverly written assortment of metal and rock classics revolving around various lyrical topics and themes, a boiling pot of ideas ranging from reality to fiction. The songs are structured around drummer and founding member Chrisafis Tantanozis; a hybrid of melodic metal music with heavy detuned guitars, speed double bass-drums and power hard rock anthems sealed together by an array of modernized melodic power vocals from a vocalist with a huge range and a strong personality differing from all power metal singers around, Ian Parry (ex-ELEGY, who also paid the guys a visit several times to shot their debut video clip, do a couple of photo sessions and other promotional activities). CRYSTAL TEARS have set their horizons towards the international stage working under the full guidance of metal producer/singer R. D. Liapakis (MYSTIC PROPHECY), who was the mastermind for delivering an album with a sound of their own.

Track by Track:
Inner Spirit - Pure power metal track full of double-bass drums and ripping guitars. A description how to discover our inner strength, which most of us never realize we possess and learning how to exploit it.

Heroes - Power hard rock! Catchy harmonies and easy to remember tunes, one of the most melodic CRYSTAL TEARS’ numbers! About second chances in life, regaining the former glory; it is never too late.

Nightmare Serenade - The debut video-track of the band. Speed, harmonies and heaviness all mixed together the best way. About a personality diverse, a fictional Jekyll & Hyde character, whose personality unfolds into a cold-blooded killer.

Empty Paradise - When speed and harmony unite. This is CRYSTAL TEARS’ most multidimensional tune. Have you ever felt really alone? This is a tribute to lonesome strangers.

Crystal Tears - Melodic metal anthem at its best, full of minor and sorrowful tunes. It negotiates the irritating issue of the abuse of children and weak people.

In The Beginning - Heavy as it can get, lots of double-bass drums and harmonies, the best way to end the album. If you were given a chance to build your own world, how would that be?

Rock Until We Fall - This is what rock is all about, no compromises and honesty. This one is for the hard rockers and the hard workers in life, an anthem to rock music in its greater essence.

Predators - Another bombastic power metal anthem, full of speedy double-bass drums and melodies. It talks about the rich and how people in power can manipulate the masses to protect their own interests, leading nations to war in the name of profit.

Flesh ‘N’ Bone - This is a pure heavy metal tune with groovy rhythm section and tons of harmonies in a series of riffs. When we need to find the balance between reality and dreams; we are all humans in the end, made of flesh ‘n’ bone…

The X Generation - Pure speed and power, one of the fastest and angriest songs CRYSTAL TEARS have ever written. Lyrics reflect the chaos aroused by the lack of comprehension between generations.

The background: Established in late ‘90s, after three demo CDs, their first official release was unleashed through German Pure Steel records in 2006. Some of the band’s highlights are the appearances with JAG PANZER, RIOT and W.A.S.P. and their co-operations with illustrators Joe Petagno (MOTORHEAD, LED ZEPPELIN, ALICE COOPER, PINK FLOYD etc.) and Meran “Darkmouth” Karanitant (SIX FEET UNDER, HATEBREED, DIMMU BORGIR, IN FLAMES, SODOM etc.), producer R. D. Liapakis (Mystic Prophecy, Suicidal Angels, Orden Ogan, Eldritch, etc.) and Grammy nominated producer Chris Tsangarides (JUDAS PRIEST, THIN LIZZY, GARY MOORE, DEPECHE MODE, IAN GILLAN, OZZY OSBOURNE, BRUCE DICKINSON, HELLOWEEN, MALMSTEEN etc.). The epilogue: CRYSTAL TEARS are famous for their live appearances and their dedication to music. Having being reviewed, interviewed and referred by the Greek official Press and globally quite often, the band tries hard to earn a place among the pantheon of rock world.
